Develop and maintain several PowerBuilder and web applications with a Sybase back-end, Equipment Authorization System (EAS) Telecommunication Certification Bodies (TCB) and Experimental Licensing Electronic Filing System (ELS) which allows the FCC to control and track license applications. Use PowerBuilder 6.5 through 8 along with PFCs/PFEs to develop windows applications. Maintain and develop Java servlets, ColdFusion and PERL applications on a Sun UNIX platform with an iPlanet web server. Create and modified Sybase stored procedures and triggers. Manage maintenance requests and design new modules. Provide coordination between contractor management and government personnel to ensure that the problems have been properly defined and that the solution will satisfy the government's requirements. Provide guidance concerning IT problems and solutions to complex information processing problems. Provide advice and assistance in developing appropriate software/hardware solutions involving hardware of various capacities, multiple operating environments, database management systems specialized software, data communication facilities and protocols, state-of-the-art technologies, and complex software tools or packages. Worked as a systems analyst/developer on a variety of projects, sometimes simultaneously. Projects included:
  • Pennsylvania Department of Labor (1/00 - 7/00). Developed a PowerBuilder 7 Intranet application with a MS SQL 7 back-end to allow the Pennsylvania Department of Labor (DOL) to track and manage workman's compensation claims using a Web-based application. Incorporated elements of product design and testing, HTML, JavaScript, and PowerBuilder. Designed, coded, tested, and implemented the application. Developed InstallShield applications for product deployment.
  • WorldCom (8/98 - 1/00). Developed and maintained Web applications to view financial data using PowerBuilder 6.5 and HTML on a Sun UNIX platform. Developed an InstallShield program to install plug-in components. Performed Year 2000 software testing, including documentation and testing using tools such as WinRunner2000. Also tested PC environment setup and provided mid-range support (such as loading databases and writing scripts).
  • One To One Fitness (4/99 - 2/00). Developed custom, standalone PowerBuilder 6.5 application to control, manage, and display data used in fitness programs. Designed and coded a PowerBuilder application including designing a SQL Anywhere database. Set up the database server and clients and trained the staff on the system, which was completed and put into production in the Fall of 1999.
  • Hekimian (10/99 - 1/00). Developed Brio reports for a Java-based Web application with an Informix 7 database back-end. Set up and configured both the Brio on-demand server and Brio broadcast server on HP and AIX Unix. Created GUI reports with Brio.
  • Discovery Communications (4/99 - 7/99). Tested and documented software applications. Designed and implemented test cases and wrote plans. Analyzed system design and application coding. Coordinated with the development team to correct errors found during testing. Developed a database front-end using Brio to allow users to make queries against a database without using SQL.

Systems Analyst - 07/97 - 08/98

MCI (7/97 - 8/98). Provided systems analyst support for MCI. Included performing quality assurance testing and analyzing automated message accounting data produced at local telephone switches to ensure accurate billing. Scheduled, coordinated, and supervised testing of Nortel DMS 100s and Siemens EWSDs. Performed on-site troubleshooting, problem resolution as well as software and system testing.
